Prompt for February 19, 2016

Complete the short story/flash fiction, that has the following opening:

Alexandra Winston, Alex to her friends, usually found the coffee shop at the front of the library to be a quiet place to relax and read one of the books that she took out from the library. Tonight, however, it was a little different.

Alex, also known as Alex-Library8343 was here to meet Sam, also known as Sam-Library8343. They had met in an online anime forum where they discovered that they both liked the same anime, Library 8343. The majority of the anime took place in a coffee shop in the front part of the library so, when Alex and Sam decided to meet for the first time they both thought that this location would be the perfect spot.

In the past few weeks they had talked about a lot of things and had gotten to know each other fairly well, but they had never shared pictures or even talked about themselves. Their love for the anime had brought them together but they discovered that they had so much in common that who they were and what they looked like was secondary to their conversations. But tonight was the night. In order to make sure that they would recognize each other they decided to dress as characters from the show. Alex was dressed like Itami in a white shirt, black pants and shoulder-length blue hair. Sam would dress as Renji in a black shirt, black pants and shoulder-length green hair.

Alex was nervously pacing when she accidently bumped into someone.
“I’m sorry,” they both said and then stopped, mouths hanging open when they saw each other. Alex was staring into the beautiful blue eyes of the most gorgeous girl she had ever seen. With green hair.

“Samantha. Alex?”
