Prompt for January 16, 2015

Complete the short story / flash fiction, that has the following first paragraph:

The melmac dish sat in the middle of the dining room table, surrounded by the rest of her Aunts dinnerware.  It’s bright blue colouring, somewhat faded due to age, set itself apart from the rest of the staid English Rose dinnerware that littered the table.  As her sisters argued over who would get the gravy boat and who would get the ladle (must they be separated?) she stared hard at that melmac dish, trying to discern the secrets contained therein.  Her Aunt had been a precise collector of antiques and the melmac dish did not fit in with anything else she owned.  Could this be why she was murdered?
